The Mars Rover Playlist

NASA has turned to music to rouse the sleeping Rover on Mars.

Over 2 months ago, a Martian dust storm thwarted the amount of sunlight available to NASA’s Opportunity Rover to charge its solar batteries, which sent it to sleep.

To maintain morale in the control room, NASA mission staff now play a daily ‘alarm’, ranging from Elton John’s Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going To Be A Long, Long Time) to The Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun, in the hope of Life On Mars.
