Take a peek inside Felix Faire’s virtual reality cathedral, created by marrying hand-drawn sketches with innovative technology.

Felix Faire took his own sketches of Ely Cathedral’s lady chapel and, with the use of new and innovative technology, created a sublime virtual reality experience in which the user is free to explore the inside of the space as portrayed by Felix’s drawings.

The audio backdrop to Sanctum is a piece of music called ‘The Lamb’ by 20^th century British composer John Tavener, set to the words of a William Blake poem and sung here by The King’s Singers. This piece is often performed in Christian church services and the architecture of the music, methodically constructed and featuring mirror images of melodic lines, complements the beautiful architecture of Ely Cathedral’s lady chapel.
